I know a guy that would give you a kidney for those.

Ew. Hopefully someone can better that bid.
I’d completely forgotten about these. Dumb luck I noticed them on a closet shelf in a bedroom.

I found my original Battletech game in a box a few months ago. We haven’t had a chance to put it into rotation on family game night yet, but I’m looking forward to it!

I remember that too. My brother might have it.

I’ve got a whole collection of Starfleet Battles game books at home by Amarillo Design Bureau . Most of them belong to a friend, and actually I should probably give them back soon since I borrowed them in like 1998.

Prolly. He may want to put them up on eBay or something if he doesn’t play them instead.

He’s as much of a nerd as I am. Among all my oldest friends, we recently started returning all the game rule books, video games, etc... that we’d borrowed over the years. Actually, I’m probably the bad friend who’s taken the longest to return stuff. I’d lay even money that he wants to play again, possibly even the night I return them to him.

Then you should probably schedule the return with a “Reunification” game to celebrate.

The reunification will occur at a party next weekend for his wife, so maybe no go there...although with enough beer/booze the night of reunification, there’s a good chance he’ll sit down and start reading at some point.
We’ll schedule a game this fall/winter, in all likelihood.

I need to figure out where a bunch of my 3.5 D&D books have gotten to. Several
just sort of disappeared.

Mine are in a case with my dice, which are themselves held in an old Stridex jar...because that is the phase of my life we are talking about here.

The one I really want to find again is 3.0 Forgotten Realms Underdark, because that is a kickass book. It has about half the splat involved in my half-illithid 50ft instant death tentacle thought experiment, and it has the Gloaming player race and svirfneblin stuff.

My books are the old A D&D manuals by Gary Gygax. They look just like these:
I also bought some published modules, but ended up morphing into creating my own scenes later on. Then, I got into a group in college with a pretty good DM and just went player character from then on until I faded out of the whole role playing thing.

My physically oldest RPG books are a couple of Palladium ones (MECHANOIDS! AFTER THE BOMB!) and my box set of Marvel Super Heroes Advanced - both from the late ‘80s. I don’t remember which edition the incredible contraptions book is - AD&D, maybe - got that too.
Right now I’m running an on-again, off-again Star Wars Saga Edition
game, a Deadlands: Reloaded game, a Pathfinder game (from a module book), and just got done being a PC in another Saga Edition
game.

I would have to significantly reorder my life activities to accomplish such a thing. Hat off to you.

I need to pencil you and calzonegolem in for some kind of once a month rpg session. Against your will, if necessary.

If we’re going to have a compulsory meeting, then I would like my code name to be Glorfindel
